First off, the pricing is amazing — very fair and worth every penny. The timing was great too, she works efficiently but never rushes the process.

If you have a sensitive scalp like me, Shayla is incredibly gentle-handed. The whole experience was comfortable and stress-free, which makes such a big difference when getting braids.

The American Braids & Beauty is the best hair salon I have been to ever! I literally drove through multiple cities to come here because I knew I was going to get the exact style I wanted and it would be done on time.

Shala and her team are very professional and keep track of all their appointments. They are also really good at time management and communicative so you can let them know how you want your hair styled. The shop was very clean and organized with snacks and drinks if hungry. The seats were comfortable so my back didn't hurt while my hair was getting styled.

Their attention to detail is top tier! I got boho goddess braids with a straight middle part, which was hard for other shops to do for some weird reason but not here! The experience was definitely worth the price and I can't wait to book again! And I recommend you do so too!!!...more

Shala is amazing!!! I have fine naturally straight hair and she does the same styles I ask for without hesitation, even though it requires more skill to braid them with my hair texture.

She’s so skilled at braiding. I go to her over and over again and she’s never disappointed me. I give her one photo of what I want my hair to look like and she gets it spot on every time.

Good prices and good service. She’s reliable and has rescheduled me per my needs more than once with minimal coordination. She also has a second location in South Tampa and she’s always flexible to accommodate my preferences.

I have never got hair braider care For a client like Wislande in that place. last week I had my hair done by her i will never regret in my life I had her she doesn't really speak English but she always has to ask her sister to ask me if I'm ok almost every 10,15 minutes always offer me water telling me if I don't like anything in the cooler please let her know what can she go buy for me she just trying to not let me stay thirsty after I done that when I find out that she and her sister are Haitian

Hidden gem of West Tampa! After my daughters braider moved out of town we where in search of a new professional location that could deliver and boy did American braids & beauty deliver. From the first call they where very responsive and professional with booking. Then when we arrived they where very courteous, knowledgeable, and listened to what we asked. Stylist Thalia worked on my sons head with starter locs and Denise worked on my daughter with no knot braids. Both exceeded our request. Worth every penny !
